Current G.N.R. Commandant General Lieutenant General Junio Marco Borghese in an infobox. Lieutenant General Borghese is widely known for his spectacular airborne assault on a Libyan rebel position in December 2011. Here he is shown wearing the M.V.S.N. uniform without any decoration or insignia other than those depicting his rank, as it is in use within the M.V.S.N. (as opposed the regular military) and especially in the National Republican Guard.
General Borghese is the grandson of famous Admiral Junio Valerio Borghese.
